Job Description:
This person would be responsible for sales of lighting, fixtures, accessories and related products to customers and contractors. Sales would be face to face at the sales counter or using communication methods (phone, email, text) providing prompt and courteous service.
Job Responsibilities to include:
- Assisting customers with product selection, placement of orders, requests for prices and quotes, and providing customer follow-ups as necessary.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers and contractors.
- Helping customers in the purchase and delivery of special-order products through understanding product information contained in supplier catalogs/resources.
- Answering the phone and assisting or directing calls as needed
- Entering customer sales, operating the cash register, processing customer payments, processing refunds for returns
- Ensuring the accuracy of invoices, work orders and sales tickets
- Maintain proper inventory levels on showroom floor, maintain appearance and cleanliness of showroom and sales counter, stock products, face and straighten products or other tasks to maintain appearance or showroom
- Listen to and resolve customer service complaints or requests when appropriate, request assistance in resolving customer needs when necessary
- Perform other duties and responsibilities in the store/showroom as requested
